  19.  If you are already familiar with c, a good book would be "Advanced
  20. Programming in the UNIX Environment" by W. Richard Stevens, published
  21. by Addison Wesley, ISBN 0-201-56317-7. There are a lot of useful
  22. examples and the source code in the book can be downloaded from UUNet.
